The base became a second job
Nobody has to design or maintain PaprPlain. It is built from your file, and you check it.
PaprPlain vs Airtable
Airtable hands you a blank base to design. PaprPlain reads your file and hands you the workspace to correct.
The short answer
Airtable gives you a blank base and leaves the building to you. PaprPlain works the structure out from your file and hands you a working business on day one. Airtable charges per editor; PaprPlain is ₹1,999$22 a month for up to ten people together.
Line by line
What Airtable does was read from their own public pricing page on 17 September 2026. These things move — check theirs as well as ours before you decide.
| Airtable | PaprPlain | |
|---|---|---|
| What you get on day one | A blank base, plus templates | Your own records, worked out from your file |
| Who decides the structure | You do | It decides, and asks only where your data could mean two things |
| How it is priced | Per seat, for everyone who can edit | ₹599$7 for one, ₹1,999$22 for up to ten, ₹5,999$64 unlimited |
| Stopping a job skipping a step | You would build it | Set the stages once. A row cannot skip or reopen once cancelled |
| Getting your data back out | CSV export per view | Any table as CSV or Excel, at any time |
Deciding
What changes when the workspace is built for you, rather than by you.
Nobody has to design or maintain PaprPlain. It is built from your file, and you check it.
One price for the whole team — ₹1,999$22 for up to ten — so everyone who does the work is in it.
Stages a job cannot skip, and checks that stop a wrong entry before it is saved.
Issue numbered invoices from your records, and ask questions in plain language.

Questions
For the common case, yes. Most small businesses do not want a database they have to design — they want the file they already keep to become something their team can use without breaking it. PaprPlain reads that file and builds the workspace: connected tables, screens, totals that keep themselves right, and checks that stop wrong entries. Where Airtable charges per seat, PaprPlain charges for the whole business, from ₹599$7 a month.
Yes. Export your tables from Airtable as CSV and bring them in, the same as any other file — it works out what each column holds, which column identifies a row, and which lists point at which. Automations and interface layouts live outside the data, so tell us what they did and we will set up the equivalent with you on the call.
Because per-seat pricing quietly punishes the thing we want to happen. If adding the counter staff to your workspace costs money every month, they do not get added, and the records go back to being one person's job with everybody else sending photos on WhatsApp. A plan covers the whole business: ₹1,999$22 a month for up to ten people, and unlimited people on the ₹5,999$64 plan.
Send us the file you keep today. On a half-hour call we build your workspace out of it and you decide from there — 7 days free, nothing to install.
