Who this agreement is with

PaprPlain is run by Parikshith, a sole proprietor based in Bengaluru, India, trading as PaprPlain. In these terms, we and us mean that proprietorship, and you means the business or person using the service.

You accept these terms when you create an account or start using PaprPlain, whichever comes first. If you are accepting on behalf of a business, you are confirming you are allowed to.

What you are buying

PaprPlain is hosted software you use in a browser. You bring an Excel Sheet or start a blank table, and you get screens your team can use — totals, search, filters, checks that stop wrong entries, and roles that decide who can change what. We run it, keep it running and keep it current.

PaprPlain is commercial software and is not open source. You are buying access to a service we host. There is no copy of it to install, own or run yourself, and nothing in these terms gives you rights in the software itself.

How the service changes

We take on businesses one at a time and set each one up by hand, so that the first screens you get are the ones you actually needed.

In practice it means features arrive quickly, some of them because you asked for them, and occasionally something changes shape between one month and the next. If a change would affect how you work, you hear it from us first.

Your account

• You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for who you invite into it.
• Sign-in needs an email, a password and a six-digit code from an app on your phone. Keep them to yourself; do not share one login between people.
• Tell us promptly if you think someone has got in who should not have.
• Accounts are for people aged 18 and over.

Your data stays yours

Everything you import or type stays yours. You keep every right in it that you had before you put it in.

You give us permission to hold, copy and display it for exactly one purpose: running the service for you — showing it back to you and to the people you have given access, backing it up, and keeping it safe. That permission ends when your data is deleted.

• We do not sell it, share it or use it to train anything.
• Only a small sample reaches an AI model. To read your file and answer your questions, a model is shown the names of your tables and columns, facts counted about each column, and a handful of sample rows — never a whole table, never your files, and nothing from a column marked sensitive. Our privacy policysets this out in full.
• You can take it out whenever you want — any table as CSV or a real Excel file, from inside the product, without asking us.

You are responsible for having the right to hold the data you put in, and for what you do with the records of your own customers. How we handle all of it is set out in the privacy policy.

What you agree not to do

• Break the law with it, or use it to store material that is illegal to hold.
• Try to get at another business's data, or at parts of the service you were not given.
• Attack, overload or probe the service, or work around its limits.
• Resell access, or run it as a service for other businesses, without agreeing that with us first.
• Copy or attempt to recreate the software itself.

Plans, invoices and tax

Plans are monthly, and the price is the same every month:

• Solo — ₹599$7 a month. 1 user, 1 project.
• Team — ₹1,999$22 a month. Up to 10 users, 5 projects.
• Business — ₹5,999$64 a month. Unlimited users, unlimited projects.

We invoice you and you pay by bank transfer or UPI. There is no card on file and no automatic charge. Payment is due within 7 days of the invoice unless we have agreed something else in writing with you.

Prices are exclusive of any taxes that apply. Where tax is chargeable, it is shown on the invoice and added to the amount payable.

The rupee figures above are the price. Where this site shows a price in US dollars, that is the same plan quoted at a fixed rate of ₹95 to the dollar for readers who do not think in rupees; the invoice is raised in rupees at the figure above unless we have agreed otherwise with you in writing.The figures above are shown in US dollars at a fixed rate of ₹95 to the dollar, because you are reading this outside India. If an invoice goes unpaid, we will chase it like humans before we do anything else — see suspension below.

Cancelling

You can cancel any time, by telling us at hello@paprpla.in. The service runs to the end of the month you have paid for, and we do not refund part of a month. There is no notice period, no exit fee and no contract to see out.

After you cancel, your project is kept for 90 days so you can sign in and download everything. We will get in touch during that time to ask whether you want it kept or cleared. After that it is permanently deleted. Ask us and we will delete it sooner.

We can end the agreement too, by giving you 30 days' notice, and we would refund the unused part of anything you had paid.

When we can suspend an account

We would suspend an account only for one of these, and we would tell you why:

• An invoice unpaid 30 days after it was due, after we have chased it.
• Use that breaks the law or the list above.
• Something that threatens the service or other customers' data, for as long as it takes to deal with.

A suspension is not a deletion. Your data is still there, and the 90 days above still apply if it comes to ending the account.

Availability, and what we do not promise

We work to keep PaprPlain available and quick, and we will tell you in advance about planned work that takes it offline. What we will not do is put a number on a page that we have not yet earned the right to promise: there is no uptime guarantee, and we would rather say that than print one.

The service is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be free of faults, or that it will do something we have not said it does. What we do promise is that when something breaks, a real person will be dealing with it.

Keeping your own copy is always sensible. The export button is there for that, and it always works.

Changes to the service and the price

The product changes constantly, mostly by getting more useful. If we remove something you rely on, we will tell you before it happens.

If we change the price of your plan, you get 30 days' notice by email, and the new price applies from the month after that. If you do not want it, cancel — that is the whole of your protection, and it is enough because there is no lock-in.

We may change these terms. If a change matters, account holders are emailed before it takes effect and the date at the top changes. Carrying on using the service after that is how you accept it.

Liability

If we get something badly wrong, the most we can be liable to you for is the total amount you paid us in the three months before the problem. Neither of us is liable to the other for lost profits, lost business or indirect losses.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything the law does not let us limit.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction over any dispute. Before either of us goes near a court, we agree to write to the other and try to sort it out — an email to hello@paprpla.in reaches a person who can.
